In-progress shitty webcam picture of the Alphonse Mucha-style thing that’s keeping me occupied.
Note: just because bristol board is thicker than regular paper, this does not mean it handles watercolor well. Because it doesn’t; it eats watercolor. Bad, bad, bad, bad idea.
Collaged flower; reference a photo of mine from a year or two prior. Took forever and in reality the edges are a bit uneven, but still one of my better pieces.
First half of my concentration on “Aging”. This mostly deals with youth and related topics. My favorite of this is probably still that portrait of Becket.
Three of my quality pieces came out of concentration work though, which is disappointing because they would’ve fit so well. Ah, well. So it goes.
“Do I dare disturb the universe?”
The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock, after art nouveau. I quite like this handsome, gatsby-capped young Prufrock. Shame he’s so self-depricating, but I digress.
Concentration piece #6.
